News7/14/2010 Marty Littrel named Communications and Community Relations ManagerHENDERSON, Ky. - Marty Littrel has been named Communications and Community Relations Manager at Big Rivers Electric Corporation. Littrel succeeds Jennifer Keach who will retire from Big Rivers at the end of July. As a direct report to Mark Bailey, President and CEO, Littrel will manage community and media relations, as well as internal communications. He will serve as the media contact person for Big Rivers in Bailey's absence. Littrel, a Henderson native, is a graduate of Henderson County High School and the University of Kentucky, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business economics. Littrel has 10 years experience working for electric utilities. He has served as Manager of Member Services at Big Rivers since 2007 where he has been responsible for economic development and member relations. Prior to coming to Big Rivers, Littrel was the Commercial Accounts and Economic Development Specialist at Kenergy Corp. Littrel is Vice President of the Habitat for Humanity Board and serves on the boards of Northwest Kentucky Forward, Holy Name School, and the Tri-County Training Consortium. In addition, Littrel is a current member of Leadership Kentucky and a past member of the Henderson Leadership Initiative.
