Big Rivers’ Open Tariff Filings
On July 31, 2024, Big Rivers filed, via the Public Service Commission’s Electronic Tariff Filing System proposed tariff sheets to revise its Pole Attachment Tariff in accordance with 807 KAR 5:015E. The proposed Effective Date of these tariff changes is August 31, 2024. The Commission is reviewing the proposed tariff changes in Case No. 2024-00280, In the Matter of: Electronic Investigation of the Proposed Pole Attachment Tariffs of Rural Electric Cooperative Corporations. On September 1, 2023, Big Rivers filed proposed tariff sheets to revise its Large Industrial Customer Standby Service (“LICSS”) rate schedule. The Standby Service rate schedule is available to any of Big Rivers’ existing Member Cooperatives for service to any large industrial customer of the Member Cooperative with resources capable of supplying all or a portion of the customer’s power requirements who requests Standby Service Power. Big Rivers’ Annual Application for Review of Its MRSM Charge
On February 28, 2024, Big Rivers filed its annual application for review of its Member Rate Stability Mechanism (“MRSM”) charge for calendar year 2023, in Case No. 2024-00031, In the Matter of Electronic Application of Big Rivers Electric Corporation for Annual Review of Its MRSM Charge for Calendar Year 2023. Pole Attachments - 807 KAR 5:015E
For a single attachment or a larger project, all pole attachment requests must follow Big Rivers' Pole Attachment Tariff, as approved by the Public Service Commission of Kentucky.
Potential and current pole attachment customers may contact our Transmission Engineering Department directly at the following address: BREC.PoleConnect@BigRivers.com. This group is responsible for attachment and joint use agreements, managing the attachment and approval process, design and construction standards, and billing.
